Crowns & Bridges
At Truman Lake Dental, we offer cosmetic restoration services, including crowns, which are most often used to strengthen or improve the shape of a tooth that is broken, worn or partially destroyed by tooth decay.
Crowns are “cemented” onto an existing tooth and fully cover the portion of your tooth above the gum line, which makes the crown your tooth’s new outer surface. Crowns are needed when there isn’t enough tooth strength remaining to hold a filling. Created in a dental laboratory, your crown is created from your unique tooth impression and takes into consideration all aspects of your bite and jaw movements. Once precisely sculpted, your bite and jaw movements should perform normally once the crown is placed.
A dental bridge may also be used to replace missing teeth. This restorative option fills in gaps with artificial teeth and helps to maintain the shape of your face while alleviating stress on your bite. Your bridge can be made out of gold, alloys, porcelain or a combination of these materials and is bonded onto surrounding teeth for support.
Don’t settle for partially destroyed or worn teeth — get the confident smile back that you love to shine!
