Your smile is worth a thousand words and the advancement of dental medicine has brought about some of the most extraordinary methods to X-ray it. We offer the most current 3D imaging technology to conduct your implants precisely and safely.
3D-Cone-Beam-Tomography is a special type of X-ray machine used in situations where regular dental or facial X-rays are not sufficient. The technology in this type of CT scanner generates 3D images of dental structures, soft tissues, nerve paths and bone in the head and neck region in a single scan. It removes the need for multiple X-rays and gives a clearer image to the doctor.
3D Cone Beam images allow for the following:
- Precise planning and implementation of dental implants
- Better formed root canal therapy
- Safer wisdom teeth extractions
- Essential evaluation for diseases of the jaw, teeth and bone structure of the face, nasal cavity and sinuses
Here’s how it works
CEREC is a digital infrared camera, a medical grade computer and a milling machine, all located on-site at our office. The system allows your dentist to repair a damaged tooth in about one hour using tooth-colored ceramic restorations.
The camera takes an optical impression of the damaged tooth, eliminating the need for cumbersome and uncomfortable impression molds, then uploads the image to the computer. Once in the system, we use 3D CAD (Computer Aided Design) software to design the restoration. Then the CAM (Computer Aided Manufacturing) system takes over to automatically create the restoration while you wait. Finally, the new custom-crafted restoration is bonded to the remaining healthy tooth tissue of the damaged tooth.
CEREC has two decades of clinical research and documentation to support the technology. The restorations have been proven precise, safe and effective, with more than 20 million performed worldwide.
You too can get a great-looking smile in a single visit. Schedule today to receive the most convenient and aesthetically pleasing tooth restoration process available today.
