Same Day Crown / CEREC Dentist

Too busy for lots of dental appointments? Truman Lake Dental in Warsaw, MO is pleased to offer our patients the most convenient and aesthetically pleasing tooth restoration process available today.

The traditional process to treat damaged, stained, crooked or overcrowded teeth involves taking an impression of the tooth and sending the results to a lab to create the restoration, forcing the patient to spend up to two weeks with a temporary restoration while the lab creates the new one. After the final restoration is complete, the patient returns for yet another appointment to verify that the restoration is a good fit.

Time is increasingly precious and we recognize that most people don’t see the dentist office as a favorite pastime. So, using CEREC equipment, we provide a great looking smile to our patients in a single visit, letting them get back to the more important things in life.

Here’s how it works

CEREC is a digital infrared camera, a medical grade computer and a milling machine, all located on-site at our office. The system allows your dentist to repair a damaged tooth in about one hour using tooth-colored ceramic restorations.

The camera takes an optical impression of the damaged tooth, eliminating the need for cumbersome and uncomfortable impression molds, then uploads the image to the computer. Once in the system, we use 3D CAD (Computer Aided Design) software to design the restoration. Then the CAM (Computer Aided Manufacturing) system takes over to automatically create the restoration while you wait. Finally, the new custom-crafted restoration is bonded to the remaining healthy tooth tissue of the damaged tooth.

CEREC has two decades of clinical research and documentation to support the technology. The restorations have been proven precise, safe and effective, with more than 20 million performed worldwide.

You too can get a great looking smile in a single visit. Schedule today to receive the most convenient and aesthetically pleasing tooth restoration process available today.
